Pioneering Disruption in Venture Capital & Empowering Entrepreneurs

Shambhavi Mishra is a seasoned venture capitalist with a passion for empowering entrepreneurs and driving innovation in the early-stage venture ecosystem. As an Investor at Antler, a global early-stage venture capital firm, Shambhavi is at the forefront of identifying and nurturing groundbreaking startups poised to revolutionize industries. With her keen eye for disruptive ideas and her unwavering commitment to driving innovation, Shambhavi is redefining the landscape of entrepreneurship and investment.

She brings a wealth of experience spanning venture capital, management consulting, and cross-border investments. Prior to joining Antler, she played a pivotal role in spearheading several cross-border venture investments in early and growth stages for the strategic investment arm of the Times Group (HQ’ed in India and SFO). Her expertise in identifying promising investment opportunities and navigating complex cross-border transactions contributed to the success of numerous ventures across the US, Canada, EU, and India.

Shambhavi's early career saw her working in various roles, including management consulting at IBM and McKinsey. These formative years provided her with invaluable insights into strategy, technology, and business operations, laying the foundation for her career as a VC.

Shambhavi's journey to her current position is nothing short of inspiring. Raised in a middle-class family in India, she learned the value of perseverance and resilience from an early age. Witnessing her mother's struggles as an entrepreneur ignited Shambhavi's passion to champion and enable founders. Being a proud immigrant to Canada, she has become a beacon of support for newcomers and founders navigating the intricate fundraising and VC landscape in Canada.

One of Shambhavi's most inspiring qualities is her commitment to driving positive change. Beyond her role at Antler, she is actively involved in initiatives aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion in entrepreneurship. Shambhavi champions the cause of women and underrepresented founders, providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed in a competitive landscape.

But perhaps what sets Shambhavi apart is her innate ability to blend financial acumen with a passion for innovation and thought leadership. In a world where numbers often dictate decisions, Shambhavi brings a human touch to the venture capital industry, recognizing that behind every startup is a team of passionate individuals driven by a desire to make a difference.

Her ability to connect with founders on a personal level and her genuine desire to see them succeed set her apart as a leader in her field. As she continues to pioneer disruption in venture capital, her impact is felt far beyond the boardroom. She is not just investing in companies; she is investing in the future of Canadian Tech. Through her tireless dedication to supporting entrepreneurs and driving innovation, Shambhavi is shaping the landscape of entrepreneurship for generations to come. And in a world in need of disruption, her vision, leadership, authenticity, and empathy are more important than ever.
