Sharon Marshall, Founder at Cree8iv Collaboration Inc. & DEVA Training & Staffing Solutions

Cree8iv Collaboration Inc., operating as DEVA Training & Staffing Solutions, is dedicated to bringing transformative programs and services to remote Indigenous communities. At its core, Cree8iv seeks to empower and uplift Indigenous women through its flagship Digital Accelerator program. This 20-week online initiative provides comprehensive training in digital literacy and virtual administrative skills, specifically tailored to meet the needs of remote Indigenous women. Under DEVA's guidance, participants not only gain essential technical skills but also learn to integrate the profound teachings of their culture into both personal and professional realms. Each participant receives a new laptop equipped with all necessary software subscriptions, ensuring they have the tools to succeed. Throughout the program, weekly modules, online check-ins, and Wellness Wisdom Circles foster a supportive learning environment, augmented by guest speakers and peer support. DEVA goes beyond mere training; it offers employment support and mentorship for a full year, paving the way for entrepreneurship and meaningful career opportunities within DEVA and its network of partners.

The practical component of DEVA's program provides participants with four to twelve weeks of paid experience as virtual assistants, empowering them to apply their newfound skills from the comfort of their own home offices while earning income. DEVA's inclusivity is evident in its requirements, welcoming Indigenous women and non-binary individuals with a minimum of Grade 9 English proficiency and basic computer understanding. The genesis of Cree8iv Collaboration Inc. and DEVA Training & Staffing Solutions stems from the vision and passion of founder Sharon Marshall, a Cree/Métis mother deeply committed to creating pathways for empowerment and growth within Indigenous communities. Drawing from her diverse experiences as a student, entrepreneur, writer, and trainer, Sharon recognized the transformative potential of education and skill development. Witnessing the challenges faced by individuals and organizations alike, Sharon envisioned DEVA as a beacon of empowerment, bridging gaps and fostering collaboration for meaningful impact within Indigenous communities and beyond.
