HiPower's Vision for Women in Leadership

For more than a decade, Mona Sabet has been changing the narrative around women in leadership. As the founder of HiPower, a network dedicated to supporting women executives in technology, Sabet has created a space for elevating and amplifying women on their journey from success to significance.

HiPower began as an initiative inspired by Sabet’s own experiences navigating the challenges of male-dominated industries. "It was difficult to find spaces where women leaders could share the nuances of their profession and discuss strategies for long term success," Sabet recalls. Rather than waiting for change, she decided to build a community where women could not only exchange insights and strategies, but become a core part of that journey.

"We need to stop relying on the authority that someone else grants us and start developing our own authority.” Mona Sabet

Today, HiPower selects 15 participants for each “Ring”, or cohort, and connects women across sectors, offering resources tailored to the unique demands of executive leadership. The small group is a deliberate choice designed to foster deep connections and lasting relationships, with mentorship and support as a cornerstone.

“A core pillar of HiPower today is the “Ask and Answer.” Whenever a member shares an ‘Ask’, women raise their hand and step up to support however they can,” says Delida Costin, Hipower Ring 1.

Sabet’s perspective is shaped by more than 20 years of experience in engineering, law, and corporate strategy. She emphasizes that her journey has been as much about learning to navigate biases and self-doubt as it has been about professional expertise.

“HiPower is different because it’s not just about building networks—it’s about helping women executives develop their own authority and influence, separate from their titles,” Sabet explains.

HiPower’s approach to leadership is grounded in collaboration and mutual support, aiming to reduce the isolation often felt by women in top roles. Through its work, the network aims to chip away at structural barriers while highlighting the strengths women bring to leadership.

"We need to stop relying on the authority that someone else grants us and start developing our own authority and influence within the greater industry and space,” she says. When you are part of the HiPower community, you find your personal board of directors.
