Joceyln Wessels, Co-Founder & CSO @ AIMA Laboratories

AIMA Laboratories is a Biotech startup that has developed a home test for endometriosis, one of the leading causes of chronic and debilitating pelvic pain. The current path to diagnosis takes between 5-12 years to achieve and is characterized by multiple physician visits, failed treatments, and frustration. AIMA’s flagship product will shorten the diagnostic path for endometriosis providing clarity for healthcare providers and patients, timely access to treatments, and reduced costs to patients and insurers.

Dr. Jocelyn Wessels serves as the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at AIMA Laboratories, bringing a unique blend of academic expertise and entrepreneurial spirit to the field. With over 17 years of dedicated research in women's health, Jocelyn, a former academic scientist, focused on identifying non-invasive biomarkers for endometriosis during her tenure in academia.

Driven by her passion for transforming the landscape of women's health, Jocelyn, alongside Dr. Lauren Foster, co-founded AIMA Laboratories. The company has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by developing the first home blood test for endometriosis, a chronic condition affecting 1 in 10 women. Currently taking an average of 10 years to diagnose, AIMA's flagship product has the potential to significantly reduce the diagnostic timeline to a matter of days.
